Life's a Beach

Harvey's first beach experience! I think he loved it as much as a 3month old could. Hated the water - I recon on account of the fact it was pretty cold.
Loved the sand between his toes though.
Family vacations, we almost always end up at the same place, Arniston. While a 2 hour drive with a baby who hates his car seat doesn't exactly spell fun...My parents have been coming here since they were married some 30 years ago. So its a special place for us.
Last holiday spent with my mommy. Great memories I will cherish forever.

A Scribble

Carry You Through
I’ve been watching you for a while now, as we go about our day!
And after some reflection, there’s something I felt I should say!
I watch you at your highs, and I watch you at your lows!
From the reshaping of you thighs, to the painting of your toes!
I’m proud of the women I see, I hope I have your courage!
And one day you will look back, laugh, and add this to your luggage!
This journey has been tiresome and I know sometimes it’s hard!
Even I find myself asking how you got dealt this card!
I know sometimes your reflection scares you to the bone!
But always remember no matter the size you are never alone!
I’m sure sometimes it hurts and I know sometimes you cry!
But please dont ever lose your great enthusiasm to try!
To me you are always beautiful no matter how big or small!
You have never changed to me no matter how hard the fall!
I want you to know..the way you are is so amazing to me!
And although you might not realise it, in time I think you’ll see!
Your support is the structure made of the ones you love!
Never forget to lean on us along with the might of above!
And you don’t always have to be so strong or hide the way you feel!
You’re allowed to let down your guard some days, I can keep it real!
You are stronger than anyone…out of all the people I know!
So when it gets tough, take a breather and just take it slow!
I guess what I’m trying to say is I love you and keep at this for you!
You’ll always be my mommy but we…will carry you through.
